  • What is the minimum consent required from society members for redevelopment to proceed?
    For redevelopment to begin, 75% of the society members must provide written consent. If this consent threshold is not met, the redevelopment cannot proceed.
  • What compensation am I entitled to if I have to vacate my flat? (copy)
    Homeowners are typically entitled to alternate accommodation, temporary rent compensation, and a new flat once the redevelopment is complete. The new flat should be of a similar size or slightly larger, and it may include added amenities like parking spaces or recreational areas.
  • What legal protections do I have during redevelopment?
    You are protected under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). This law ensures timely possession of your new flat, quality construction, and legal compliance of the project. If any issues arise, you can file a complaint with RERA or take legal action through the courts.
